This was for a little girl who was turning one. She is in love with hibiscus flowers. The big cake has a thin layer of fondant on top to form it, the rest is butter cream. Both cakes are airbrushed and the stem is made from gumpaste.

I loved doing this cake! The sand is just colored sugar, the hibiscus flowers are made out of royal icing. The shells are starfish are made out of chocolate and fondant. The chairs, palm trees and dolphins are plastic. I know, I cheated. =( I was still very happy with how it turned out.

This was for my friends husband for his birthday, his favorite meal is nachos and beer. =) The beer bottle is made out of sugar, with root beer flavoring for the color. The label is printing on rice paper, and since the label is normally shiny, I painted the label after I put it on the bottle, with fondant powder coloring in fairy gold, mixed with 2 tsp of vodka. This dried faster than water, so it will not ruin the label. =)
