Made this cake for a friend. She had her daughters pictures made, and so we used the image on the cake. We also made matching cupcakes. Her daughter loved the cake and cried when they cut it. TFL!!
Had a request for an all chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream icing. The birthday girl requested a basketball in one corner and a softball in the other. Both balls, bases, and goal are made from fondant, (for which I make my husband responsible), everything else is buttercream. TFL!!
Cake made for co-worker whose son had enlisted in the Army for his going away party. 1/2 sheet (1/2 choc, 1/2 yellow) with buttercream. Flag is fondant (and boy was it a pain as my husband thought it would be cool to cut each stripe and then place them together), Dog tags and chain from gumpaste. Had never worked with gumpaste before!!TFL and hope you like it!!
Cake for Boss's Day (We are celebrating early). Thanks to all of the amazing ideas on CC...9x13 cut in moon shape on one end, 2- 8" cakes stacked to resemble a cheese wheel and placed against the 9X13. Mice are made from chocolate covered cherries with the stems (easy to make), with a hershey kiss for the face, almond slivers for ears. All with buttercream. TFL!!
Bible cake made for brother in laws birthday. 9x13 cut with a cake leveler to give it a rounded look. Decorated with buttercream, Cross is piping gel. "Pages" are yellow buttercream, allowed to dry and then scraped with a pastry brush. TFL!!
"Bloody Cupcakes", yellow cake with strawberry glaze filling (we learned to fill cupcakes the night before I made these in class). Made to compliment the "New Moon-Jacob Black" cake I made for my daughters birthday. As you bit into the cupcake, it looked "bloody". TFL!
This was for our last class in the Wilton Basic Course. We had to bring an iced cake to class and decorate there. We learned our ribbon roses right before putting them on the cake. We had to practice writing as well, and as my husband was sick, it became my "Get Well Soon" cake. TFL!

University of TN Baseball Cap. Recently started cake classes and the facility I work for asked if I could make a Hat cake for "Hat Day". Used 1 1/2 qt pyrex bowl to bake the cake, covered in buttercream and homemade mm fondant. TFL!!
Birthday Cake for brothers 40th bday, fave drink is Crown, thus the cake. Cake is yellow cake as he hates chocolate, with buttercream, bag is homemade mm fondant, logo and "liquid" in bottle are made with piping gel. TFL!!
