Vanilla cake, dressed up with buttercream pleats and adorned with a MacDonald dress tartan fantasy flower. I overlaid a printed sugar sheet atop of gumpaste petals.
This small cake appeared in Volume 5 Issue 3 of Cake Central Magazine - the white wedding issue! The cake is sugar coated to make it sparkle. The oversized flower is made of gumpaste with silver leaf and glitter accents.

I have was fortunate to have been able to take a sugar flower class with the legendary Chef Nicholas Lodge this past weekend! Flowers included the dahlia, field poppy, cosmos, various grasses and leave.
