a delicate and sweet cake with butterflies was requested for a special girl turning 16....so many inspirations here on CC but the most (for me) came from sandralita ~ so THANKS!!!! the second pic is of the other side of the cake...i didn't like the way the back of the plaque looked so i added some flowers....my camera wasn't charged so all i have are cell phone pics....TFL :)
i really need to learn how to estimate the time it takes to decorate a cake...i always under estimate and then have a nervous breakdown!!!! LOL...another cake idea i got on the web but forgot the hanging lanterns off the cake and toys!!!!!!! well at least the bday girls mom was happy!!!! =) too bad i only had my cell to take pics the colors aren't as vibrant =(
Made this for my friend's baby shower....i tried making a monkey (but he's my enemy for the past year) ...that didn't work out my way and took up a lot of my time to add more flowers and a welcome baby sign but i loved my animals especially the lion!!!! didn't have time to take more pics....i got this idea from someone on here but i can't remember who....i tried my best to mimic hope i did them proud...TFL

My debut cake for my friend's baby shower....i don't know how this cake didn't scare me away from decorating! I didn't know anything when i took this on...sometimes being na?ve is your bestfriend!!!! =) It was worth every bit of nerves....she loved it and it gave me courage to keep going! although it came out dark i'm still proud of her.....i've learned a lot since then!
Last minute cake for my friends baby shower
my friend loves the beach, working out and sports....although you can't see them there is also a football, baseball and boogie board around the other sides of the cake....it was yellow cake with half arequipe filling (Colombian Dulce De Leche) and the other half with a hazelnut filling...the large shark fin is b/c he had a funny encounter with seaweed and we just had to make fun of him again!! TFL
made this for my friend's 40th....so many ideas and help from CC folks!!!! ssunshine564 and kello are just two of my saviors for this cake!!!!! the bottles and caps are real....the isomalt didn't really get along with me!!!!! i took the banner behind the cake idea from another person and the harley from someone else but i can't remember ....but heinken and harley's are his fave so it was just natural to combine them...thanks to you all that inspired me and sent me instructions!!!!! TFL

my bestfriend was giving her sister a baby shower celebration ~ first baby and boy in case you couldn't tell by the colors =) ~ and she based her theme on the silhouette and the color of the baby's room ~ TFL
the birthday girl wanted animal print sheets and her fave color is red....it was my first time working with frosting sheets so a lot of lessons learned but still happy with the end result...thanks to munchkin mette for the shoe instructions! that made the cake!!!! i added the birthday girls initials on the shoe label ~ TFL
i made this cake for my mom's flower power birthday....i wish i would have added a few more flowers but all in all i'm pleased....thanks to aliaswoman for her inspiration....my colors didn't come out as vibrant as her's but hopefully i did her proud!!! =) TFL
