Made This For My Daughters Wedding This Past Weekend My Very First Wedding Cake I Was Soooo Nervous First Time For Using The Sps Syste
Made this for my daughter's wedding this past weekend. My very first wedding cake! I was soooo nervous! First time for using the SPS system too and I am now a HUGE fan! We had to drive an hour to the event location and I was so scared it would be a mess by the time we got there, but it worked like a charm. The colors look a bit pink in the photo, but the colors were a white background with ivory flowers.

The Simpson's
I made this cake for my daughter's fiance's brother who just returned home from Afghanistan (a big Simpson's fan). The first sofa I made met a horrible demise. When I came into the kitchen the next morning the entire back had fallen and I had only about 5 hours to bake more cake, carve cover and finish a new one! Needless to say, that's why the couch is a little lumpy & bulging since it didn't have time to "settle" before I covered it with the fondant. Anway, it was a fun one (but for the stress of remaking it again so quickly) and he really liked it...so, mission accomplished. TFL!

A Christmas Story Leg Lamp
Made this just for fun for our family gathering. After photographing this, I realized how much the wood showed through the fringe so I colored it in with permanent marker...looked much better. I don't know how others have gotten their fishnet so neat and even because it was HARD and it took me 4 times to get it to this point. ha ha It was still a fun one to try and it made for a good laugh at Christmas. Thanks meldancer for all your helpful suggestions!

Golf Cart
Made this for my Mom's birthday. (oops, forgot to clean up the fondant crumbs off the board before photographing! ha ha) This had to travel 8 hrs inside a cooler because it was in the high 90's , so I didn't put fondant on the board for fear it would just get messed up...hence the ugly green saran wrap ;-D Again, a big thanks to the those here at CC for posting their photos of golf carts and giving me the inspiration to try this.
