For a 30th Birthday...My 1st time doing topsy turvy!! Theme was Red, Black and Silver...but it looks white in the picture due to my 1 yr. old taking all my powders and hiding them, dont you love kids! So I have to mix a little black with some kind of shimmering dusting powder. And due to a heavy rain, its been really humid and hot so I have problems with the cake sweating, is it worst for an airbrushed cake? I felt like the color seems to be dripping off!!!!
My first book cake....and I didnt have picture of the finished product. Cant find a smaller sized tip for piping the author's name and the 'twilight' is carved free handed from fondant, and the hands w/ apple is petal dust on fondant. A newbie cake decorator...Please give comment on how I can do better...TFL
This was a birthday cake for 2 girls...this cake was not finish when I took the picture, but didnt have time to take one of finish product. This cake was made according to the customer's request. I wish I was given the chance to add more little details to make it more a birthday cake than a wedding cake. TFL
1-27-2010 - this was for my friend's fiance's belated birthday - It's New York Cheesecake topped with Ghirardelli 60%-cacao chocolate ganache & fresh sliced strawberries around the bottom. The topper is separated with some parchment paper so they can keep the topper. Needed more time to work on it though.

12-31-2009 - Dragon Cake Topper - I named her Feyoria, my little pet dragon, hehehe. It was a gumpaste figure for the top of my cake, but my cake was so rush that I nearly throw it out the door because I was not satisfy with it. However I spend so much time making the dragon that I have to post it. First time making a western dragon, I was so scared it turns out looking like a dinosaur, which is really what one of my friends think, she asked "oh why's there a dinosaur on top of the cake?" I was like does it really look like one? =( hahaha...Anyways sorry about all the bad qualities of my pictures, I dont have a camera or lets say it broke, so I used a cell phone camera.
Cake#6 - Was a cake for my customer's parent's 25th anniversary celebration...was a rush cake so I did a really bad job. The colors are her selection. Bottom tier - White cake w/ mango mousse, Top tier - Dark Chocolate cake w/ fresh strawberry slices & cream, Decoration: White Calla Lilies, White Roses, white filler flowers, Gold Bows & Ribbons, Silver 25 topper. My hubbie turned on the heat and the buttercream started to melt, you can see the sides arent even. But I have to say "THANKS so so much Hubbie!!" He stayed up til 8am in the morning trying to help me with the cake, and he has work in a few hours too!
Cake #3 - 12/18/2009 - This cake was an order for my friend's friend's birthday...I practically did it for free, except she helped buy the ingredients...It's very experimental and very satisfying. I would use chocolate cookie straws but my friend wanted a certain brand but it does not carry chocolate cookie ones. Well, I still need to work on my cake and fondant rolling skills. The pagoda is made out of Rice Krispy Treats, The bottom layer is Chocolate WASC w/ strawberry mousse & 2 boxes of sliced fresh strawberries!! Top layer is chocolate w/ whipped cheesecake filling...There are also the colorful chocolate stones <
11/14/2009 - This cake is made to celebrate my baby girl who just turned 6th month old! So many good Lady Bug cakes out here on CC that I have to make one of my own. Thanks for "i totally forgot the user's name" for his/her inspiration! This is my 2nd fondant cake...still SOOO newbie at it...hope people can give me some good tips. I'm also very rebellious, I like moist cake with light cream filling...so you can see my cakes all sloping and bulging...I know I shouldnt use whipped cream but I love it... Thanks for looking! ^-^
