A Rainbow Of Skittles

Cake was rainbow coloured inside. First cake had Skittles in between cake layers. Made the green one first and another client wanted the same cake, so I changed up the colour a little bit.

Spring Has Sprung

A great way to use extra royal icing flowers. Made them for work for one of our fundraisers.

Flower Basket

Vanilla cake and buttercream icing. All flowers/plants are royal icing. Wanted something different from just flowers. You can tell I love bright colours! :) Too bad the basketweave wasn't as good as it could be.

Snow Family

Wilton 3-D bear pans. Almost had a disaster. There were originally 3 small snowmen. When cooling the big snowman, I put the heating core back in crooked and it almost tore out the front of the cake. I put the pan down to fix it and didn't notice the cake had fallen out of the core and I was squishing it with the pan. I had to trim the little snowman to fit up the big snowman's, um, insides.

Happy Birthday

You can try to guess what the animal is supposed to be. I wasn't even close, but the client loved it anyway.

Penguin Party

Fondant figures. Will definitely change the igloo if I make it, again. Had a lot of fun making the penguins.

Used the Wilton 3-D bear pan. Arms are marshmallows. All buttercream icing.

Xbox 360

First attempt at using cereal treats for modelling. Would have looked much better in fondant but I'm not a big fan of the taste or cost. Any suggestions? I haven't tried making fondant from marshmallows. I usually buy the Wilton stuff.
