Curious George Cake
This was a 2-tiered cake with buttercream frosting. The monkey is made out of modeling chocolate. It's the first time I've ever sculpted anything. I'm pretty proud of it. The balloons, number 1, and the hat were made out of gum paste. All the rest of the accents, including the lettering, were made out of fondant.

Car Cake
This was my second attempt at a 3D auto cake. I think I did better on this one. I used the Wilton cruiser cake pan for this & added some rice crispy treats to shape it more like the model of car the client wanted. It's covered in fondant. I cracked the front bumper trying to put it in the box. Woops!

Turkey Cake
This was my second attempt at this cake. My dog ate the first one. I only had 1 day to throw together this one. I used a round glass bowl to make the shape, covered it in buttercream, and used fondant for the accents. I used rice crispy treats & shaped them for the head. I cheated & used a fan that I found in the floral dept. for the tail.

Topsy-Turvy Children's Cake
This was my first topsy-turvy cake. I made it for our children's minister's last Sunday. The footprints represent our nursery, First Steps. The second tier represents our preschool, Little Lights. The bottom tier represents our K-4th graders, Spark. This was a fun cake to make.
