Rainbow Cake
My cake for my 30th (next milestone someone else can make it for me!!!). I asked my friends what represented me and they all said rainbow (as I do meditation and rainbow colours = chakras) so here it is! Bottom tier was White Choc & Raspberry Mud with white choc ganache and top tier was White Choc and Coconut Mud with chopped Bounty both in the batter and the ganache! I made the Rainbow from Fondant and dried it for a couple of days.

Itng Garden Party
The customer was adding the ITNG figurines to the cake once she got it home. This cake was inspired by Donna's (much better version) as the customer sent me this picture to work from www.flickr.com/photos/donna_makes_cakes/3556985153/ Minature bees, lady beetles, snails and a work went with lots of flowers and a grass border. I had fun with this cake and tried to take it to the next level (considering I hadn't covered a square cake before this nor a board)!

Fireworks Wedding Cake
I don't 'do' wedding cakes but my brother and now sister-in-law asked if I'd make theirs (of course I couldn't say no). 10 inch choc mud with choc ganache covered in ivory fondant. I used several sized cachous (dagrees) for the effect of fireworks as they got married in Brisbane on Riverfire (a massive display of fireworks throughout the city). I modelled the figurines myself, using my sister-in-law's breat enlargement and my brother's ex-obsession as a body builder as points of difference!! They loved it and about 20 people commented on how great it taste!

80Th Cake For An Active Woman!
A banana cake covered with white chocolate ganache (albeit a little runny) covered with fondant. I made GP tennis racquet & ball, lawn bowls balls, a rake for her love of gardening and some tea cups for her tea fetish! I used a stamp to imprint her birthday message around the side of the cake.

Kit Kat Mmmmmmm
I saw this cake on CC and couldn't wait for the opportunity to make (well, eat) one!! My friend turned 30 the weekend I had another big cake to do so told her it wouldn't be anything fancy but she loved it! Can't wait to make it again and maybe colour co-ordinate the lollies inside. It was white chocolate mud with white chocolate ganache!

Lightning Mcqueen
First attemptat carving a 3D cake. Chocolate mud covered in chocolate ganache with fondant and fondant accents. The only non-edible part was the wing, it was made using a piece of thick plastic cut to size. I used Mint Slice biscuits for the wheels then covered them in fondant. It went better than I thought it would!

Garden Party 1St Birthday Cupcakes!
(Sorry first attempt at loading I put the wrong photo up!) 48 cupcakes with bees, ladybeetles, snails, butterflies, dragonflies and flowers. This was Plan B after my DF turned the oven on with the 8 inch mud in there after being ganached (I keep them in there away from air and ants etc - forgot to my sign up & he forgot to check!). Strawberry puree & chocolate chip cupcakes with fondant and fondant decorations. Bees inspired by Mayen (youtube). Worked all day and most of the night on these so got lazy with the ladybeetles (no antenae)!

First Fairy Princess Castle
The birthday girl was thrilled with this cake however I know I rushed it towards the end. It was my third cake this week and a freebie so had just had enough. In saying that, learnt a lot and looking forward to trying another one soon. Vanilla butter cake with white chocolate ganche, RKT towers, waffle cone turrets covered in coloured sugar, first human figure made from fondant (pretty happy with her), used impression mats for brickwork & door...can't think of anything else!

Boy-To-Be Pregnant Belly
My second attempt at this type of cake which I felt went smoother! Mum-to-be requested foot poking out of belly next time will put the toes on top of foot rather than in their correct position as they didn't come through as clear! Chocolate mud cake with chocolate butter cream!

Pregnant Belly
My first pregnant belly cake. I used a Wilton ball pan for the belly and cupcakes for the boobs (not sure why I did nipples - it must be because I just finished breastfeeding and they were on my mind?!?!) Not as hard as I first thought however getting it on to the cake without wrecking it completely was a little tricky. And some of my finishes are a little rough but working on it!

Indigo's Naming Cake
This is the first cake I have made for my self since the obsession began early this year. I made caramel mud cake (with caramel and white choc filling) covered in white choc ganache for the bottom tier and choc mud with choc filling and covered in choc ganache for the top. The butterflies are GP made in advance and my daughter's name is written on the butterflies on top of the cake attached with wire. Thanks to litidny, Verina, md79, tamivo, Angelsfoodsins and Boston046 for inspiration and answering my questions on email!

Buttercream Birthday Cake
I tried the 'Viva' paper towel smoothing method for the first time with buttercream but I think Australia's version of Viva must be slightly different as it has a nice 'basket weave' pattern! Gave it a nice effect, will have to find one without any pattern! Buttermilk buttercream and golden buttercake with Fondant letters and decorations.

Chico Baby Shower Cake
This is for a woman who is calling the baby in her belly 'Chico' (after an Australian lolly made by Allen's) as she doesn't know the sex of the baby! I matched the fondant to the invite (and lolly packet) and molded a giant Chico out of LCMs (RKT) and covered in chocolate fondant. The lettering also matches the invite/packet and suited well as some were pink, blue and yellow for the unknown sex!!
