Prada Shoe
This was the first shoe cake I made with the template I downloaded from CC and it was sooo much easier than the shoes I've made in the past. thank you so much for posting it! I'm curious if anyone has a really good way to make the heel? Mine come out kind of lumpy. I was thinking of making a silicone mold of a real shoe or something

Diaper Bag
I made this cake for my sister's baby shower. I used a 3-D mold to make the bottle and the booties, but next time I will try the bootie template I found on CC. Also, using the 3-D mold (from sugarcraft.com) from gumpaste makes a big seam that was difficult to cover up. Next time, I'll try to sculpt it myself. all the accents on the bag are made from fondant. Tassles made using a clay gun.

Sesame Street
This cake caused some challenges for me. I made it before I learned how important using a firm cake for sculpting was. The cake I used for this was softer, and did not hold the support stakes well. both cakes are covered in buttercream, and I used real chocolate chip cookies instead of making them from fondant or gumpaste. the beak and the eyes were made of fondant.

Kate Spade Purse
I used fondant to cover the cake, make the zipper, and handle. For the black fondant, I painted black paste with vodka, which I find makes the fondant have a slight gloss to it, and made it look more like leather. The lipstick and compact were made out of gumpaste ( I used Colette Peters book for the directions for the compact and lipstick.

Broadway Musical
this cake was created for a performing arts open house. everything shown is edible, including the sheet music, hardwood floor, violin, ballet slipper, and comedy and tragedy masks. the bag is made out of carmelized vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing, and the violin is made of iced rice crispy treats. I find the rice crispy treats are good when small children will be attending, and is also SOOO versatile to work with.
