Daffodil Bouquet
Been wanting to try one of these and Mother's Day was the perfect excuse. Vanilla cake with buttercream icing, Kahlua flavored syrup, and chocolate ganache filling. Stacked three 6" cakes and half a sports ball pan. Gum paste daffodils, and gift tag. Fondant stems made with Makins' extruder.

R2D2
R2D2 is all chocolate with buttercream icing and fondant accents. The light is a real working light I purchased at Michaels. Got the idea from other CC'ers. Thanks, it really made it come to life. It was constructed with two 9x 13's and two 9" rounds. Thanks also to all the other CCer's that helped guide me through this.

Steak Cake
Birthday cake for my sister who is vegetarian. She got the BOGO deal. Lots of inspriation from so many here on CC. It's chocolate cake with mocha icing covered in marshmallow fondant. Painted with red food coloring. Trays were courtesy of a local meat department grocery store. Label is a scan from an original. Everyone had a good laugh with it.

Petit Fours
Thank you petit fours for my daughter's preschool teacher's. Almond cake soaked in simple syrup filled with raspberry preserves. Iced in pour fondant. Royal icing flowers. I first did these for Mother's Day. Won't be doing these again anytime soon. Time consuming. Everyone like them and appreciated them.

Preschool Graduation
Cake is for my daughter'r preschool graduation class picnic. Sheet cake is two 12x18's; one chocolate and one vanilla. Iced in buttercream. I used a food safe pen to write the students names on rice paper. Edged the sides in gold pearl dust. The crayons are candles that the teacher actually gave me.

Baby Shower
Colors were to reflect the baby bedding from The Land of Nod. The 6" is WASC and the 8" is chocolate with raspberry filling. Iced with Sugarshacks buttercream recipe. Booties and lettering were made from Nicholas Lodge's gum paste recipe. Other accents are fondant. Cake board covered with royal icing.
