A cake for my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary. The bottom layer was carrot cake with cream cheese icing. The 2nd and top layer were chocolate cake and the 3rd layer was cherry chip. Flowers are fondant ribbon roses.

This was inspired by a previous post. (I needed a sheet cake design) It could easily be a birthday cake. Iced in BC, but stripes, flowers and ribbon in fondant. Was for a church fundraiser. Logo used transfer techniques.

First Communion Cross Cake

This is a First Communion cake for a friends' daughter (French of course). Covered in BC icing. I had left-over RI, so I used RI for the flowers for the brush embroidery technique (first time attempted). I would use BC icing for the flowers next time. Completed with bead border at the bottom.

Easter Daisy Cake

Insired by Wilton Course 2. This is a three layer carrot spice cake with cream cheese icing. The icing turned out to be very sticky and stretchy to work with so the edges are not as smooth as desired. Daisies are RI.

This is a two layer Banana cake with peanut butter icing. The icing was either cracking, or melting. Tough to work with, but tasted great.

This was 1 month prior to starting lessons. I didn't know at that time that store bought icing was too thin to decorate with properly. I've since learned to make my own buttercream.

Bon Voyage Course 1 Week 2

This is a Bon Voyage cake for someone going to New Zealand (hence the sheep). Two layer, all Butter Cream, wax paper transfer of sheep.
