Treasure Chest
This was such a fun cake to make. It was for my nephew's birthday. Treasure chest base is chocolate cake covered in buttercream and MMF. Top is made of RKT covered with melted chocolate and MMF, all coins and shells are MMF, gems are isomalt and spyglass/telescope is gumpaste. I partially melted marshmellows to get them to stick together to create mounds of sand, covered with piping gel then ground graham crackers.

Bible
I wish I could take credit for the idea, but there are a number of 1st Communion cakes on here with this basic design. I made the chalice, grapes, wheat and banner out of gumpaste and the flowers out of mmf. I used the groved edge of the icing tip to accomplish the look of pages on the side of the Bible and then dusted them with gold dust. It was a fun cake to put together. Tried using an extruder for the wheat but nearly broke my hand trying to push the gumpaste through so I gave up on that idea. (Ha!)

Raspberry And Lemon
This was my first attempt at SugarVeil and I really liked using it...even with the heat. The bride specifically asked that the top edges of the cake not be the crisp edge but more rounded. Buttercream icing and boarder with SugarVeil decorations and fresh raspberries and lemon slices on top.

Lime Green & Magenta Sugar Crystals
This was a dummy cake except for the top layer...obvious I know (at least to cakers) that the bride wanted just for the cake-cutting. They served cheesecake to their guests and neither of them really like cake. The orchids are live flowers and the bride designed her own cake topper and had it made locally. TFL
