Pakistani Cricket Player!
My dad doesn't have many hobbies, except watching cricket, so that was my only choice for a Father's day cake. 3D bear pan decorated like a cricket player with the facial hair of my dad! Hat and bat made from the core that goes in the bear and cricket balls from the mini ball pan. Lots of fun!

Sisters Bday
My sister had her first baby on Nov 16, her birthday was Nov 30 and this was also the first day she was returning to clinic...no mat leave sadly. I wanted to make her a great cake but had severe time constraints (and my own talent constraints). Theres a bottle in her pocket made of cake and the stethoscope is also cake...it looked OK before we had to drive 2 hours with the heat blasting in the car (my dad doesn't understand the horror of heating and buttercream). It tasted great though...Nutella!

Congrats/ Goodbye
This was a cake I made for a coworker's goodbye. It was a bittersweet celebration because we'll miss her but its a great opportunity for her. Cake is 4 layers - 2 of choc and 2 of vanilla with the Oh Henry filling from this website. Was my first time ever making a cake like this (usually cheesecakes or molded pans) as well as first time doing a basketweave. I was very proud of my work and everyone loved it. It was delicious! Thanks for all the inspiration, there are amazing wine cakes on this site!
