Castle cake for my twin boys' knight themed birthday party. 6" and 9" cakes. The towers and top center tower are rice cereal treats. Turrets are sugar cones covered with fondant shingles. Everything is covered with marshmallow fondant. Knights and dragon are fondant. Moat is piping gel tinted blue. Thanks for looking!

Bicycling Themed Cake For A 50Th Birthday
6" and 9" tiers, chocolate buttercream with fondant accents and handpainted gumpaste bicycle topper. The street signs are names of the birthday person's wife and children. He has a black lab, so his wife wanted the dog on the cake. The white thing is my interpretation of a white metal bridge in their town.

This cake was designed to match the invitation, which had pink and green polka dots, a cupcake, balloons and flowers. It gave me all sorts of problems, and although I'm disappointed in the end result (esp. the crack which happened during delivery), everyone seemed pleased. It's Satin Ice fondant.

Beach Birthday Cake
Birthday cake for my mom who loves the beach. I had planned to use BC tinted yellow and sprinkled with brown sugar to ice the cake, but she wanted chocolate BC, so thanks to a suggestion from another CC member, I crushed vanilla wafers and used that for "sand" to cover the top. The blanket, flip flops, beach bag and umbrella are all fondant.

Tinkerbell & Fairy Friends
I did this cake for my goddaughter's 4th birthday. She wanted to use her plastic fairy figurines, so I placed them on the cake to look like they were having a birthday party for her (holding the banner, the gift, etc.) The cake is iced in BC with BC flowers and fondant accents (banner, gift box, 4).

Thomas The Tank And Friends Birthday Cake
This is the first cake photo I've posted -- it's my twin boys' third birthday cake. It's a Thomas the Tank Engine theme with buttercream icing, fondant & gum paste details, fondant covered train station and cereal treat mountain with tunnel. I originally planned to make all the trains out of fondant, but wasn't happy with the results, so I used their toy trains on top instead.
