Hexagon Lamp Design
I got the idea for this cake from a lampshade. I made the cake for my sisters for their birthdays. They're a week apart, and were having the party on the same day. So, I just sent it back with my mom when she came down to visit. My family loves being my guinea pig. It was mostly to practice the design (which still needs a lot of work), and to test the crème brulèe coffee creamer for flavoring. Next time I will use fondant. My oldest sister doesn't like fondant, so I just used buttercream.

Cinnamon Vanilla Kahlua Cake
Cinnamon Vanilla Kahlua Cake. Cinnamon, Vanilla, Kahlua buttercream filling. Vanilla Buttercream frosting. 1M tip used to make border. Cinnamon sprinkled on top. This was just a practice cake to test measurements, and taste. It turned out pretty good. :) The recipe came from this site.

Baby Bear
My first ever figures. 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. I was making a cake to match the shower plate. I also had to drive it 8 hours, so the blankets broke, and baby bear's head and arm kept popping off, so I ended up finally just attaching those with royal icing. All in all, I'm still pretty proud of my first attempt. I mean, since I have no experience I can't expect it to be perfect, right? The crib broke, but you can't see a lot of it. Camera also broke, so this was taken with mother's phone cam.

Dale Earnhardt
My mother's birthday is the 28th, Step-father's is the 27th. My husband and I bought them Nascar tickets for the October race, so I thought it fitting I make them a Nascar cake. Black fondant, edible images, white almond cake, and white almond & strawberry marbled cake. Buttercream icing.

Booo-Tiful
Birthday cake for my sister. Her birthday is 3 days before Halloween and she always wanted a halloween themed cake, so the year I started decorating (long long time ago) I made this for her. Red velvet cake. Cream cheese icing. Everything is edible, 'cept the plastic flies. I'm a little embarrassed by this one.. heh Thanks for looking.

Chocolate Cigarellos
This is my first cigarello cake. They're completely homemade, as you can probably tell. German chocolate cake with coconut/pecan frosting. I don't like the look of that particular frosting, so I shaved some chocolate bits on top of it. Thanks for looking.. I just wanted to add, Thanks Nati for your tutorial. I couldn't have done it without you. :)

Killed The Wabbit
I made this for a friend.. He had a friend that had ran over a rabbit, and was just devastated by this. So, my wonderful friend thought this deserved a cake teasing his poor friend mercilessly, and I was volunteered to make it. Of course, back then, I only knew all things Wilton so it was inspired by one of their cakes, and changed a little to suit the need. (This was quite a few years ago) Luckily, his friend found it quite humorous and was not at all offended. :)

Wedding Cake
I made this for my sister about 10 or 11 years ago? I can't even remember how long she's been married. I hadn't been decorating long, and this was my first wedding cake and tiered cake. Most of the decoration fell off.. Middle of June, no air conditioning in the car, so I had to do all the border all over again at the church. Also, my mother put the the top tiers on, because I was getting ready (bridesmaid), and I think she jammed it through one of the cardboards because it's shorter on one side.

Bones
I got the idea for this one from the 2002 Wilton Yearbook. It was made for a halloween party, my husband was attending, last year. The skeleton was made with candied popcorn, decorated with buttercream frosting. I just found it in one of my folders, and thought I'd post it. His skull is a different color than his arms, because the arms aren't candied, just stuck to it with buttercream. Thank you for looking.

Groom's Cake
This is the cake I did for my husband. I tried to get him to let me do something that would show his personality, or a hobby, but he kept insisting he just wanted a yellow cake with chocolate icing. Well, I couldn't have that, so I had to embelish just a little. The leaves and scrolls are chocolate, and were so much fun to make. I'm not good with cornelli lace yet, so I pretty much just squiggled some lines on top. My cousin added some baby's breath for a little extra decoration. hehe

Our Wedding Cake
This is our wedding cake, which I made the night before the wedding. Each layer is a different flavor consisting of chocolate, strawberry and plain white cake. All were frosted with buttercream frosting. The ribbons are real ribbons, because I don't have experience with fondant yet, and didn't know how to make those. All the accents on the cake were drawn on with buttercream, then I painted over them with silver dust mixed with vodka. The flowers were some we had left over after making the bouquets.
