My First Wedding Cake
Made this for some friends of mine who got married on Sept. 15th, 2007. After spending so much time planning and making the cake, not to mention stressing out about stacking it, I can really appreciate and admire all you ladies (and gents) who do this on a regular basis. Especially those who are either SAHMs or have full-time jobs outside the home!

My First Paid Cake Order!
This is for a co-workers's son for his 21st birthday. Had some help with this one--Doug for the image and Oceanspitfire for the lettering method (royal icing letters placed on cake). The FBCT was really thin, so I'm glad it came out okay. Was going for hunter green, but stopped at darkish green because I almost ran out of coloring! Cake is BC French Vanilla baked with the extender in a 9X13 pan (hooray for Magic Line pans!). Frosting is Dream Whip icing with Hershey's Special Dark cocoa added.

Giraffe And Buttons
I volunteered to make the cake for a baby shower we're having at work, and I'm proud of how it turned out. This was my first attempt at a frozen buttercream transfer, and it went well except for a few spots where I smooshed it too hard and smeared the lines. The buttons are made from candy clay. I had fun making those! My inspiration for using buttons came from several people who've done buttons on their cakes, I can't remember who but THANK YOU!!! Giraffe and zebra were drawn by me :)

Housewarming Cake
I made this cake for my aunt's housewarming party. They just finished rebuilding their home in New Orleans, and the family is getting together to celebrate! The back edge of the top border was taken out by my background board falling while I turned to get the camera :( This is the tallest cake I've ever made...I made a 1/2 recipe of WASC and put it into two 3" tall 8-inch pans. It is ridiculous how tall it is! It barely fits into my cake tote...

Wilton Course I Final
This is my final project cake for Course I. The cake is yellow, filled with chocolate bavarian cream, and iced in chocoloate buttercream. I tried to do a reverse shell on the top border, but it ended up looking more like rosettes! Bottom border is my attempt at a rope border, lol.

Father's Day Cake
This is basically the same design as my "First Birthday Cake" because I made them the same day... I made all the roses, thinking they would look okay one just one cake, but it was too many, so I divided them up and put them on two cakes. The cake is white cake with bavarian filling, iced with regular buttercream.
