50Th Osu B-Day Cake
These are 2- two layer 1/2 sheet cakes cut and shaped into a #5 and #0 for a 50th b-day. The client was a HUGE Ohio State fan so we did the "0" like the letter O in OSU with Buckeye treats surrounding the cake. The #5 had five of the clients favorite lifetime hobbies on it....bicycling, camping, Scouts, elementary principal (edible image), and his kids (edible image). Got alot of orders for more OSU cakes at this b-day party.

Princess Crown Cake
This is a 10" triple stacked cake cut and shaped into a crown. The crown points are large strawberries dipped in purple chocolate and skewed into the cake to stand upright. The smaller crown points are Hershey's Dark Choc. Kisses. The purple beads are the ONLY non-edible item on the cake. I tried to do a mini crown for the 1 yr old baby out of a cupcake... it didn't come out as great as I hoped. The large "pearls" around the bottom of the cakes are strawberry Whoppers.

3D Snail Cake
This is 2- loaf pan sizd Fr. Van cakes for the head and danish pastry Cinnamon roll for the body and tail all covered in BC. I used green Jello for the slime trail and also on the body to make it slimy. This cake was created from an 11 yr old's drawing as you can see in the picture. Tried to match it exactly with what I had to work with. This cake measured about the length of an 1/2 sheet board and 12" in height.

3D Tarantula Cake
A lot of research went into doing this spider...apparently tarantulas come in different sizes and colors. The client whom was 7 yrs old pick the Mexican Red Knee Tarantula out for his birthday cake. The legs are made and shaped out of homemade chocolate biscotti dough the body is made out of 6" & 8" oval red velvet cake... the client wanted it to look red inside for the internal "body parts" look. The fangs are made out of Tootsie rolls and the grass in which the spider is nesting is made out of sliced and baked tortilla shells and hand painted with green luster dust drizzle. The ants are fake plastics ones as I ran out of time to create them myself. The orange came out a little brighter than I wanted it too, so have to wait to the next one to perfect this cake and its colors. TFL!

Dad's B-Day Cake
I had some left over cake and icing from a previous client's order so I left it up to my girls (13 and 5) to come up with whatever for their Dad's b-day. The 5 yr old did the top layer and the 13 yr old did the bottom layer. Not bad for their first cake together....apparently they paid attention to me doing my cakes and learned something. LOL!

3D Pirate Cake
This is a 1/2 sheet cake cut and shape to a pirate ship.....got a bonus on this cake, the client brought me the ENTIRE pirate ship kit so I didn't have to create too much for this cake. The barrels are Rolo candy, cookies for the rails, gold bars are Rolo in the foil, canon balls are Whoppers candy. This is all buttercream icing with chocolate icing accents. The front 1/2 of the haul has chocolate gold coins in it, so when they cut the cake the coins spill out. The ship came together nicely with the kit.... wish I had that available with the last pirate ship I did. I had to create and hand make everything on the last cake (its in my photo gallery). TFL!

Functioning 3D Ferris Wheel
This is view of the ferris wheel I made. The wheel is out of Rice Krispies and the construction holding it is made out of Kinex. I was excited when we got it to spin around to give it a special effect. LOL! I usually make ALL edible cakes, but was pressed for time so I added details with circus decors I found. This was for my daughter's 5th birthday carnival party that included games with prizes, full concession stand including popcorn, cotton candy, corn dogs and MORE... We even had clowns and animal balloons. It was a great day and well worth the work!!!

The little 6" cake was for the 1 yr.old to devour and the 12" cake was for the guest at the 1st year birthday party. The Dora face was drawn freehand and was filled in with a star tip. A little off without a pattern to follow.... but didn't turn out too bad.

Hand Carved Chocolate Logo Cake
This is a 2 layer 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 choc. heart shaped cake icing with BC and the Logo is hand carved out of a solid chocolate heart and filled with BC to give the cut out look. As you see I TRIED to match the logo on the shirt which was for a benefit to raise money for my daughter's friend to have a heart transplant at the age of 13. The little cake behind the logo is just a 6" cake with an edible image of who the benefit was for. She got her heart on Thanksgiving, and do well!
