Power Ranger
My nephews have joint birthday parties, and sometimes they don't pick the same theme. One wanted Power Rangers, the other Star Wars. This is the Power Ranger side. Its a 3 tier chocolate cake with buttercream icing. Black fondant borders seperate the two sides.. The topper is a sugar cookie with the Power Ranger on it. The other side of the cake is a different color scheme.

High School Musical
This is a birthday cake I made for a friend's daughter. Its buttercream frosting. The stars are made of fondant that I then stuck yellow sugar crystals to. I cheated and printed the picture out and trimmed it. I then attached it to skewers that I dyed blue, and stuck it into the cake.

Pirates Treasure
I made this for my daughter's Pirates of the Caribbean party back when the first movie came out. I didn't cut the rounded top off the top layer of cake to give the look of the lid. I used buttercream frosting. And used beads, candy coins, rings, pearls, and a foil lock for accents. I used brown sugar for sand.

Spongebob Squarepants
This is one of my favorites. I frosted with buttercream frosting. I used yellow sugar crystals for the holes of the "sponge". I used fondant for the eyes, lashes, nose, arms, legs, and clothes. I love making Spongebob. The last time I made it, I used frosting for everything except his nose, arms and legs, and I actually liked it better.

Guitar And Amp
I made this for my neice. The main part of the guitar is cake that I frosted with buttercream and then spread with clear gel to look like laquer. The handle is cardboard that I frosted. I used beading wire for the strings. The other accents are foil. The amp is just a small square cake decorated in black frosting. I connected it using licorice.

Papa's Koi Pond
This is a replica of my father in-laws pond. It's 2,2 layer cakes. A 11x15 and a 10in. round on a pedestal. The rocks are flat circles of cake. I used fondant for the plants and koi fish(if you look closely you'll see them swimming in the water). The water is gel that I dyed blue. The strip of blue is fondant that I spread gel on to show the water flowing from the upper level of the pond to the lower. The two grey circles are fondant replicas of stepping stones that my daugher gave him years ago.
