This is my take on a topsy-turvy cake for my 5 year old's birthday. It could have been a little more turvy but oh well. It is buttercream with fondant accents.
My friend loved Jem when she was little so I tried to bring some old school back!
For my niece's 13th birthday! She loved the tiny fist of rock!
This was for my 3 year old. It took forever but it was worth it. She squealed when she saw it.
My little girl wanted her cake covered in roses but I ran out of icing, so I improvised. I think it turned out really well. She loved it!!!
This is the small Cookie Monster pan. I had no instructions so I just winged it. It turned out pretty good and the little boy ended up with a big blue mouth.
I used the retired Big Bird pan for a friend's son's 1st birthday.
I saw a cake like this on here but for a baby boy. I modified it for a girl and it turned out beautifully!! Buttercream icing, fondant stars, moon, baby and blanket.
Cake for a client/friend.
This is my first attempt at using fondant. It's for my 2 year-old's birthday. Now I just have to convince her to eat her favorite animal!!
I used the invitation and made the cake to match. I double layered the top border and I think it worked out better. It gave it more dimension.
I basketweaved the side and toped with roses. I really liked how the colors worked together on this one.
This ia a tiered chocolate cake edged and topped with hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries. Top tier was butter cake and bottom tier was milk chocolate. Iced with a chocolate hazelnut butterscotch buttercream. Decorated with chocolate strawberry buttercream.
A friend of mine loves ducks so I came up with this idea.
I made this for a friend. The cake is four colors. One for each of the wiggles and when I took it to her she added Wiggles figures to the sides and top.
I basketweaved the sides and the roses are white royal icing, dusted with luster dust.
My first wedding cake for class. My little girl loves pink so we dedicated it to Barbie.
I made this cake for my nephew. Only prpblem is that it turned our mouths black =)
This cake has mint icing and devil's food cake on the inside. (Think of it as eating a thin mint girl scout cake) Yum!
I made this cake for a friend's little boy. I made the lion hill out of a cupcake. And the trees are pretzel rods.
This was for my 3 year old who was in love with ladybugs at the time. It was my first attempt at a tiered cake.
