Kindergarten Graduation
I made this cake for my daughter's kindergarten graduation, the cap is a half sports ball with a fondant covered cardboard mortarboard. I think it turned out well considering our house was being packed up and loaded on to a moving truck as I was making it, the army movers wait for no one! ;) We headed from Alabama to Washington the next day!

Promotion Cake
I made this cake for my husband's promotion ceremony. He was being promoted to major and a good friend and co-worker was being promoted to 1Lt. They are both army aviators so of course they are wearing flightsuits. The beret's were difficult but everyone was impressed. All of the kids got a kick out of eating their daddy's heads!

Tinkerbell Birthday Cake
I made this for my daughter's 4th birthday, she had been begging for a princess castle cake but changed her mind 2 days before the party to tinkerbell. 10" square base w/ 6" top. Yellow cake with chocolate frosting and tinkerbell is a chocolate transfer. Would have liked to have more time but this is what I came up with.

Twins Baby Shower
I made this cake for my neighbor's baby shower...she's expecting twin girls. I had trouble coming up with ideas when she said she wanted a chocolate cake...but this is what I came up with. 11" x 15" devils food cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate butter cream. The babies are rice crispy treats covered with mmf and buttercream details. I didn't think it looked as good as it could have but when she saw it she jumped up and down and got all excited because she said she didn't expect anything that cute. I'm just glad she liked it because it was way harder than I thought it would be!
