This is a cake I did for my best friend's son's birthday! He requested a skull and cross bone cake...with persuation he was pleasently surprised with this island creation. Pony/farm Cake
THis cake gave me soooo much head ache. I was determined to get the 3d barn to sit on the slab cake. THe slab was not dense enough to support the barn, even when it was skewered. Anyhow. THis was 4 9x12cakes stacked, then the house pan decorated as a barn. The barn doors are fondant. Cookie crumb pathway....cupcake haystack, grated fondant on top as well as grated fondant on the grass. Rock choco candy to line the pathway purchased plastic fencing, pic, animals etc. I learnt alot from this cake.

Easter Slot Machine
After viewing several cakes on this webpage I got inspired to try one for my grandmother's birthday. She however wanted it to be an easter cake. So we comprimised and I combined the two. My 2 daughters helped paint the bigger chocolates in the mold to tie in the easter theme. We also used bought foil wrapped eggs. THe rest is cake mix cake with extender recipe two 9x12's stacked and a circle cut and stacked. Not to shabby. I was proud to show this off at our big family easter dinner.

2Nd Teapot
I attempted a bigger teapot for my friends at the local playgroup we attend. This one was also a cake mix with the extender added. I was much happier with the outcome of this one. Fondant hardware and some sugar flowers as well as smarties and smaller choco candies. THanks for all the inspiration from all the other photos submitted here on CC!!
