ok, I've only used my edible images 5-6 times......and the colors are already empty??? the images weren't very big....doesn't seem right.

But the last two I've tried to print the colors are coming out horrible....my orange is a really light ugly brown. or is there something else. I've adjusted my printer/image settings several times and it doesn't seem to help.

i hope the ink isn't gone already!!! if so, I'm charging ALOT more for these things from now on!!

anyone else use edible ink and know how long these last or can think of something else I should be doing to fix this??

No that doesn't seem right at all! How long in between uses did your cartridges sit in the printer? They may have dried out if they sat too long.

Can you post what your current and past settings were?

You really shouldn't be running out of ink after just 5 or 6 prints. I get at least 20-24 full color large images out of my 2 cartridge system. Is there a possibility the inks dried out or that the openings crusted over or that the print head clogged?

First reset your printer to default settings. Then run a nozzle check test.

My guess is you've got a clogged print head.

they've been sitting in my printer for the past week!!

i just did the nozzle check and a deep cleaning but I'm only getting 4 of the 5 lines i'm suppose to on the nozzle check. but still no change after the nozzle check.

how do i get it unclogged??

If you aren't using your printer on a regular basis then your should replace the ink cartridges with the cleaning cartridge.

Is the ink just not coming out or are the cartridges acually empty?

Is it just one color that is not printing?

Leaving them in your printer without using them causes the ink left in the print head to dry up...clogs it. Do you have any cleaning cartridges? It wastes a lot of ink to do the cleanings with the ink cartridges installed.

I'm not sure...I have the 4 cartridge printer. When I pull out the cartridges there are two compartments. One has a spongy looking thing in it....the other has liquid. all the compartments w/the liquid are full....but not sure how it connects to the other side.

Sounds more like a clog then!

They're not empty. If you don't have the cleaning cartridges, you can either run the cleaning cycle up to 3 more times with the ink cartridges installed or you can manually clean you print head.
