This may be a dumb question but when I opened my Wilton Master Tip set I didn't look on the card board piece before I threw it out. So are they dish washer safe? I am thinking they might be. icon_biggrin.gif

Hi, yes, they can be put in the dishwasher (Wilton even makes a little bag to put them in for the DW.)

Since they have to be almost totally clean of icing before you put them in the DW or it won't wash out, you pretty much might as well wash them and forget the DW.

Another method other members are using is to put the tips and a little DW liquid in a microwave safe container covering the tips completely, and micro them for about 2 minutes. HTH Janice

You are welcome!

How did your area do with Katrina and Rita? Hopefully not too badly.

I see you are fairly new, welcome to CC, always pleased to see a fellow Texan! Janice

I found a nice basket with flip top for the dish washer and just throw my tips in basket without cleaning out the icing and they are sparkling clean when done...Thrift Store find thumbs_up.gif

Stephanie, is that a bottle/sippy cup lid washing basket? That's what I use. It has a big section on the bottom and a smaller top section that you are supposed to put the nipples or lids in. If anyone is looking for something similar, try the baby section at Wal-Mart or K-mart!

I'm looking for something that will hold them upright so they don't nest inside each other. That's my biggest problem. The bottom one is clean on the inside and the top is clean on the outside, but the rest are still dirty! If I only have a few, I put them in separate parts on the basket and in the silverware baskets on the dishwasher (mine have lids), but that gets tedious!
