My BIL is graduating from Culinary school and I am in charge of making the cake. I was thinking of doing something with the CDB emblem on it...but if you guys have pics of cakes that you think woud be good....or ideas of what to do to make a cool cake...let me know! Thanks in advance.
How about a chefs hat or a sheet cake to look like a chopping board with a knife and chopped green fondant for lettuce or something.
Another idea, decorate sheet cake to look like top of stove with a fry pan, spatula, some spices, etc. Could say something like...(Name) cooked his way through school. (I don't know, is that corny?) Well hope this helps.
I like the chef hat idea. You could put across the front or top, "Now You're Cookin'!"
Oh, well he did the restraunt management part of the courses. He still had to do the other stuff...but he's not going to be a chef...he's doing the management stuff in restraunts. Any ideas to incorporate that? Thanks, Brandy
How about a sheet cake with a small chefs hat on it, and a menu which says under NEW MANAGEMENT, and maybe some food stuff depending on what kind of restaurant he plans to go into.
You could do a search for a guy in a suit or however he would dress for work...and do a BCT of it...put it on the cake with a saying....Now you're the boss....or something of that sort..
Good luck.
I love the "under new management" idea! That would look cute on a menu sheet cake. You could say something like "Congratulations! You managed to make your way through Culinary School!"
Well here is my finished cake..... I know it's kind of plain, but it took me a while to make the Le Courdon Bleu logo and get it on just right so it didn't leave blue smudges all over the white fondant. Anyhow, tell me what you think!
**Ok, it won't let me attach it for some reason, but it's in the Graduation section in the gallery. Thanks ya'll!
