I just secured yet a THIRD cake for the hospital! They are having a party/potluck for the end of the fiscal year and they were just going to go to Costco to get two $15.00 cakes to feed 70 people. They weren't going to have me do it because of my price but we settled on $50.00 Sooooo, that's $150.00 in one week.
I had to settle on a lower price for the cake because I really want to get the business at the hospital and the clinics on the bases in my area. It does help that my DH pushes my cakes for me.
I can't wait to get them started. Well, I'm starting some of the adornments for two of the cakes now but I can't wait to post pics. I know I'll be complaining the whole time while doing them but it's always worth it in the end to see how happy people are when they get my cakes.

Congrats cakemommy! I see that you are in WA State, what city? I am in Iowa right now, but my hubbie & I are both from WA (Woodinville & Kirkland) and we are moving back there in about 2.5 months (YIPPEE!!!) just curious as to where you are at!

Congratulations! Depending on what size you're making, $50 may not be too bad a price. Hope everything works out well for you. I'm trying to get some hospital biz myself. I have a friend that took a co-worker a cake a few weeks back and I may have a few orders coming my way in the future. Boy can those nurses & docs put away cake!
