First I want to say thanks, I have been a lurker for a long time and have learned so much here.

I have a cake I have to make (the date has been moved up a few months, so not as much time to practice as I would like). The customer is a very good friend, I want to be able to do the quilting technique unfortunately they do not like fondant and I would like to be able to use IMBC or SMBC (I have just started making them both and think they are divine!), is there any way that I can use a texture mat for the diamonds, would rather that then ABC, is it possible? Or do you have any other suggestions/options that will work for the quilting?

I used this tutorial for my practice cake will post pictures later. Cake is not ready yet.

Looks easy, but  was harder then I thought. I recommend to do a practice run, before making it for customer.

Here it is. I used SMBC. I wasn`t really holding scraper at an angle, so didn`t really get that puffed look. I will do more practice to get perfect at this. It is easier on fondant but possible on SMBC too.
