I have an order for a bouquet of cupcakes, dressed as roses.  I love doing this however, I have only assembled these before on location and never had to transport assembled.  

This guy is wanting to surprise his fiance with them.  Does anyone have a good idea on how to transport them by myself?  They will be in a terra cotta pot.  

Finally after racking my brain for 2 days, I figured it out.  

In case anyone was curious:  I am going to take a sturdy shoe box and turn it over.  Use a box blade to cut a hole out and put the pot into that hole.  That will make sure it is sturdy and stable.  Then I will put that inside of a bigger box to protect the rest of the bouquet.  

As for driving, well as my mom always put it, "I will be drivin' like I am haulin" eggs."

put 4-8 dowel/long toothpicks sticking out from the edges like wagon wheels and one long tall dowel down deep sticking way up from the middle --

criss cross two real long sections of plastic wrap or food friendly cellophane and put the pot in the middle of that and bring up each side so it doesn't touch the roses -- attach it up at the top -- 

then you'll also need to be sure the pot doesn't roll on the ride home -- get a box with a lid* -- cut a hole in the lid that will allow the pot to fit down in --- adjust as necessary to get it rest at the right height inside the box -- place the pot in there -- tell him to drive like there's a raw egg on the dashboard --

* or cut a piece of cardboard the same size as the bottom of the box -- cut the hole -- 

you gotta do all their thinking for them

I would suggest surrounding the bouquet with something that will hold the pot in place while tranporting, such as foam boards, bricks, or something sturdy but not too tall.

Or you could get someone to ride along with you to hold the presentation while you drive.
