AHi Bakers! Anyone have feedback on using paper or plastic bags for single cupcake sales? I'll begin selling at Street Fairs this Fall and would like to find an efficient way to package cupcakes without having to assemble boxes. Does anyone NOT recommend bags based on experience?

Welcome! In my experience, bags are finnicky and one slip and your frosting is smushed! Use cupcake pods (you know, the clear plastic pots with domed tops). They're not expensive and you can buy them in varying amounts so you don't have to buy 50 if you don't need that many. They aren't all the same size though, so make sure you choose some that are big enough for your cupcakes, and they will be safe during transport. And as they're see-through, you can display your cakes in them as well. Good luck! 

AIMO those specialized cupcake conrainers are prohibitively expensive. Try a 9oz cup and lid -upside down.

Thanks Edible Art! Do you have any favorite resources for the cupcake pods?  The plastic clam shell ones I find to still be around $.20 per cupcake even when buying bulk.  I was hoping for something not as expensive.
