Craft punch on wafer paper?????

Do you think it would be ok to use a craft punch on wafer paper to wrap around a cake??? It will be removed before eaten. I have an idea for a cake that I am doing for my sister's birthday tomorrow.

I've used it on rice paper which I understand is very similar...so as long as it hasn't been used for anything else I'd say it should be fine.

I personally have no problem with that. I'm sure some will say not to because it's not a food safe tool and will shed metal shavings all over your cake.

Wilton sells a set of punches if you wanted to get technical... like AZ though..I don't have a problem using them. I use the Martha Stewart ones from the craft store
