I have a request for a 'rich' cake that is not chocolate or vanilla, but that has dulce de leche filling. I'm not sure what kind of cake would go nice with dulce de lecher other than choc or vanilla... any suggestions? :)

AMaybe a caramel cake, or a spice cake?

ooooh sounds good... I've never made either of those types!  Do you happen to know of any great recipes that I can try.  I especially like the sounds of caramel cake.

I fixed a carrot cake with dulce de leche filling and it tasted pretty good. I used the dulce de leche (arequipe Alpina) that is sold at Hispanic stores...
