AHi guys, I only just joined this forum and this is my first post :-) I'm 13 years old and I love to bake and cook. For my birthday I'm getting some cake decorating supplies. Since I live in australia, cake deco supplies are expensive and I probably will have to get them online. The shop I'm thinking of (baking pleasures) only sells ateco tips, and I was wondering which ones to get on a limited budget. I'm not very good at cake decorating, even though I like it so just simple ones please ('must have' tips). Thank you :D

AI think the three tips that I use the most are #2 (writing tip) #18 (large star tip) and #104 (petal tip). Those are what I would start with. It might be a good idea for you to watch some tutorials on things you want to do and make note of which tips are used most. Have fun! :)

You should also get the 1M tip (Wilton) which makes the flat round roses which is good for cupcakes. I do not know what this same tip number is in the ateco tube. This tip is very good for cupcakes.
