Okay so first of all i need to know the taste difference between these tho icings and i would like to make some but only the smallest amount just for tasting could someone giv me a recipe to make a very small amount of either ? thanks help is much appreciated

 

ive heard it tastes really light im worried it will taste like foam lol ?

There's no taste difference, but it depends on the ratio of the ingredients in the recipes.  Most use at least a pound of butter.

 

Just halve a recipe of your choice.  I use Warren Brown's IMBC which you can find on YouTube.  I use a considerable amount of vanilla.

 

I am not sure where you got the notion that it would taste like foam.  It's lighter in that it's not as sweet and grainy as a powdered sugar based buttercream, but it is still extremely rich.

google 'joe pastry imbc', awesome recipe and explains each step very well.

It's very rich, but way less sweet than ABC, certainly not foamy :)
