Expectations From A First Year Anniversary Bride

Im new to baking wedding cakes and do have a bride now asking for her free anniversary cake. She expects a fondant covered cake that matches her wedding cake. I had no intention of doing that, I was thinking a 5 or 6" basic cake flavor with buttercream. She requested red velvet with cream cheese. I said that was fine. Now she is requesting carrot with cream cheese and the yellow fondant covering.... What are your standard expectations in this regard? Im not sure I even want to do a carrot cake... I have no other planned cakes for that week.... She did have red velvet and chocolate cake for her wedding....
I provide the top "anniversary" cake for free on my wedding cakes (because that's the norm here, I don't like it though). They can keep it for a year and eat it, yuck. Or they can BUY another cake from me for their anniversary.
There's no way in this world I'd do a new cake for free! I don't do any cakes for free for anyone, but people I love dearly.
When you promised a free cake, what were the stipulations? If there weren't any as far as flavours go, she is entitled to pick what she wants. Same with design, I mean if she is asking for something carved and really detailed that is one thing, but if she expects it to match her wedding cake, that is pretty normal.
I used to offer free ones as an incentive type thing when I started out on my own, when I did it was the same flavour and design, assuming the design was simple. If not, then I simplified, but made sure it matched the colours and theme.
The idea was to replace the traditional frozen top tier.
