Need a quick answer please. I made 2 large sheets cakes for an event but the event was postpone until the 26th. The cakes are iced (BC) but not decorated. Can these be frozen if so how and how to wrap etc then what to do to when time comes to decorate them. Hope i can freeze - I would hate to make them over again. Thanks ahead of time.
Yes, they can be frozen. Wrap them in plastic wrap and place them in a brown paper bag before you put them in the freezer. Brown paper bags keep out the freezer odor.
The real issue is the thawing. Leave wrapped until room temp or there will be condensation on the cake.
ACake and buttercream freeze great. Cover with some plastic wrap, freeze, remove from the freezer the night before.
