I am working on a spread sheet with my hubby's help. I sent a cake in for a friend of his at work who was leaving and my hubby's boss liked how the cake looked and tasted so much that he asked him if I would like to do more cakes for the company birthdays and other celebrations and actually get paid. DUH!! icon_eek.gif Wasn't expecting that but maybe it will work out. I have only sold a few cakes and those were to friends and family

Anyhow he was asked for my info on sheet cake sizes and servings. I think this is easy to read by my hubby thinks its confusing. Now I just have to figure up the prices on the matrix. Anyone who wants to look this over and give me some feedback, please do so. It is in Excel.

THANKS!

That looks pretty good to me. I really like how you did the different colors for the different sizes of cakes at the top of the speadsheet. What do you mean by Extra?

Thanks for looking at it. I didn't realize people would have to actually download it to look at it. Not sure how to describe the extra, that's one thing that my hubby was wondering too, LOL!! If you cut an 9 x 13 every two inches, you get four pieces with 1 inch left over. The same for the longer side, you get 6 pieces with 1 inch left over. So you get 24 pieces with 1 inch left on each side. Guess that is confusing, isn't it, LOL!! Still can't decide on prices. I used the pricing matrix but it's a lot more than I expected especially when compared to what they charge in the bakeries around here. I wonder if anyone just charges flat fees on the basic 1 layer non filled sheet cakes. I would love to see that if anyone does.

Ohh, I see what you mean by extra, now. I have beginning prices for sheet cakes, then depending on what the customer wants on it the price goes up.

My begin prices at:

Sheet Cakes
9X13 Feeds 22-24 $25
11X15 Feeds 34-36 $32
12X18 Feeds 48-50 $40

I looked at your photos and I think all of your cakes look great. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for the info Angela. I am glad you liked my cakes. I took a peek at yours and yours are pretty impressive especially that golf cart and Shrek thumbs_up.gif .

I am still working on my prices. The pricing matrix is giving me a fit. I can't figure it out. Probably because I am trying to do it with 4 & 5 year old kids interrupting me every 2 seconds, LOL!!!
