Best Tier Sizes For A 250 Serving Round Wedding Cake?

hey all,
I own a bakery so I should be able to figure this out but my brain is on overdrive... I need to make a round wedding cake, 4 tier, that serves 250...what are the best sizes to accomplish this. I've gone through all the combos of sizes and none of them seem to work.... ugh I need a nap
would it be possible to make one big main cake with 4 tiers and maybe two smaller secondary cakes??
okay I just did a bit of thinking and you could do this if it's a round cake:
6" (10 servings)
10" (42 servings)
14" (82 servings)
18" ( never did one but I estimate about 120 servings)
that would add up to 254 if anybody could confirm the servings for the 18" !
Hope that helped you ;)

unfortunately the biggest pan I have is 16 inch. I was thinking id do a 16, 13, 10, 7... id still be little shorter though according to wilton...
AI guess if you don't do it uniformly, is your best bet. Which can be cool. I have your 7",10,13,16 at 220 servings. You could do the 10" as a "double barrel" (though I detest the term, since double barrel is two barrels side by side, a misnomer if there ever was one) that would be 258 servings.
ANever mind. I just looked at all the combos to do it as close to 250 as possible and they were horrible. The double height tier is the best option using your pans.
How about doing the four tier cake and maybe doing sheet cakes to make up the difference that you would be short.
I just did two cakes for the same amount this past weekend with ample cake left over at the different weddings . One cake was 16-14-12-10 The 10 inch was a 3 inch pan times two. The other cake was 14-12-10-8 with 8inch being 3 inch pans.

hmm.. and what about "cheating" and making a cheat cake, cut out 18" circles and put them together?
Or if the bride likes this combo (6-10-14-18) up the price a little because of you having to get a new pan. Don't know about the business part though lol
I'd definitely throw in a double barrel in there somewhere. But I'd never let a bride tell me to squash 250 servings into a four tier cake.

Yeah, no kidding! The taller the cake the better! I am working on a wedding cake right now that is 120 fewer servings and is a 4 tier. 7,9,11,13, all 5" tall. I also think squatty cakes are detestable, lol.
Exactly the configuration I did Saturday. I'll upload a pic when I get to the computer that has the original. This is 120 servings. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=585522371478166&set=a.569312279765842.1073741826.110414962322245&type=1&theater
Stupid overdone vignette. Needed to back that off a bit. Think I will actually and repost.
