Help!!! Please...question About Cream Cheese Frosting

I am in the middle of a mounted deer head cake. Spice cake with cream cheese frosting. The frosting is falling off of the sides. icon_cry.gif I know that you can add meringue powder to thicken it up but how much and how bad will it distort the flavor???

This cake is to be delivered tomorrow morning at 8 AM.

The only thing I've ever done is to add more powdered sugar to the icing to make it thicker. I don't know about the meringue powder.
