Hi There,

Im very new to this and have started to make cupcakes and decorate them with fondant.I have been getting many positive responses, but i want to make sure i am making the inside as tasty as it looks on the outside, i tried a mudcake recipe last night and it self imploded haha !

You all seem very knowledgeable so any help would be appreciated :)

Looking for a cheap option which is tasty and moist as i have found alot of recipes to be quite dryicon_biggrin.gif

Any box mix is fine...add a box of pudding to it :)

I've tried several different kinds of chocolate cake recipes from various books and Web sites and they have all been tasty, but the one I consistently get the best reviews for comes from the back of the Hershey's cocoa powder box.  It's always moist and delicious even without icing.  I've doubled the recipe and still gotten great results.

APillsbury devil's food is amazing. I only use boxed cake mix when I practice decorating, but I add 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder....and use 1.5 sticks of melted butter. People love it.

Yes, for cupcakes, Pillsbury Moist Supreme is the best... I tried a few others but the dome collapsed.  Still trying scratch recipes...easier for cakes than cupcakes.

ABaking at a lower temp makes a world of difference as well. I bake at 325 and it's one box of instant pudding per two boxes of cake mix. Try it... You'll be surprised!!!
