Hi everyone I am new here,my first post so please be gentle icon_redface.gif

I am making a Courvoisier bottle lying down and I was wondering what are  the best colours to use to achieve a realistic look of the bottle.I was going to use chestnut brown, dark brown and a drop of tangerine/orange .has any of you made a  similar cake before?

Many thanks for your understanding and help

warm welcome

yes i made a liqueur bottle once

i don't know where the picture is but if i was doing the courvoisier cake

yes i'd use those exact same colors

i'd make some orange red icing and tamp it down with the browns

and for that pretty fluted shape i'd try to shade it some

maybe by saving some of the icing colors as it gets mixed

hope all goes well!!!
