I would like to know what is the best to use to copy a picture on to a cake? I use my Kopy Kake machine and I have used gel, and icing to copy the picture on to the cake. I want to find something that will let me do the little details and not run together. I use the smallest tip I have but the get still runs together, and when I use icing it sometimes won't stick to the cake and I pull it back off. If anyone could help me, I would truly appreciate it!!
Follow these instruction:-
Buy food coloring ink and frosting sheets from a specialty store. These can be used on certain model printers that also have copy capabilities. Install the cartridges and place the picture on the copier. The food coloring cartridges will copy the image onto the frosting sheet.
2
Purchase a specialty printer that is designed for this type of task. This type of printer will automatically crop the image to the size required for the frosting sheets.
3
Discover a local bakery that specializes in this type of work and ask them to print the photo for you. It may cost some currency, but it may be cheaper than a new printer or ink cartridges.
I have actually tried that, I bought a printer and some edible ink. It didn't work! I had so much trouble getting it to print. I didn't do enough cakes to be able to keep the ink from clogging, so every time I tried to print something it wouldn't print completely. Thanks for the help though!!
Use royal icing. You can adjust the consistency with sugar or water. It dries solid and has been used for fine cake lace for centuries.
