I was asked to make cupcakes for a friends wedding shower in a few months... They want cupcakes like these birds nest:::

But then they also want birds.. She mentioned about the eyes and beak coming out of the cupcake?? Does anyone have any links they could give me for instructions on how to do it.. Would be a huge help!!

Any other suggestions for birds are welcome as well.. As long as the are elegant looking..

Do the birds have to be edible? There are tons of bird cupcake picks out there.

Or you could search for "bird candy mold" or "bird chocolate mold" or just "bird mold."

Here's the bird cupcakes and cake did for a baby shower. It was actually copied from a design by Martha Stewart. My cupcake icing skills need help, but the birds turned out cute I thought. They're a mound of buttercream with fondant 'beaks' and black icing eyes. She used 3 little birds on each cupcake and I used just one...but I did put 3 on the cake.
