Is it possible to mix petal dust and vodka and use it in an air brush, or would it clog. I really want to try luster dust to spray on a cake, but I'm not sure if it would work.

Hi, lots of decorators do. I have used pearl dust and vodka or everclear. Shake it really good in a bottle and then pour into airbrush . Clean your airbrush really really good each time you do this. I mean really good. Mine has never clogged. I am extremely carefully cleaning mine after any colors before i put it up. hth They do make sheen airbrush colors, That is what i use now. Pearl sheed, gold sheen , silver sheen, etc.

It will clog. They are just not meant for anything with particles. I have had my airbrush clog just from the color drying out a little from sitting for just a couple of minutes.

I have been using pearl dusts and vodka in my airbrush for a long time without any problems. I rinse like crazy with hot water immediately when I am finished.
