I live in Olympia WA and looking for cake decorating and gumpaste flower classes in my area or nearby (I am 30 minutes from Seattle). Thanks everyone for any suggestions.

Have you tried doing a search for Culinary schools? they usually have non certificate courses that they offer on weekends etc. Maybe you can also try calling some of your local bakeries or cake supply store and ask if they offer classes or can refer you somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have signed up for Wilton classes, and have collected all of the tutorials posted by Rylan here on the site and have considered purchasing videos, but I really want to take a few professional classes. Good idea about looking up culinary schools or bakeries, etc... I had not thought of that. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Wilton is coming out with a new class on Advanced Gumpaste Flowers over the next few months. It will have a star gazer lily, sweet pea, dogwood among others so look out for that.
Sharon Zambitos DVD's are worth every penny if you are doing things on your own.
