Do you think the fleur de lis in that picture is made of chocolates or fondant? If fondant, how do you use the candy mold with fondant?
Well its easy to see why u would be perplexed by that! its so hard to tell! It could be either one. i have used fondant in candy molds however, and its easy and quite nice. You just need to dust the mold with some icing sugar/cornstarch first to prevent the fondant from sticking, then you just press the fondant in and wait for it to harden a bit before u remove it. The only problem (so i've been told) is that once you put icing sugar/cornstarch in the mold if u want to reuse it for chocolate/candies later they will not come out as shiny and nice. The icing sugar/cornstarch must scratch it or something. Perhaps you will need to just use it for fondant! Thats what i do. hth!
That looks like white chocolate to me. I've used fondant in candy molds before too, but it's not as smooth as what's pictured.
