I keep coming back to the WBH Chocolate Butter Cake recipe. I love the fact that it's consistently moist and not too sweet. Only problem is can I halve it? Has anyone tried to?

WBH CHOCOLATE BUTTER CAKE
1 cup hot coffee 1/2 c
1 cup cocoa powder 1/2 c
1 cup cold water 1/2 c
3 cups cake flour 1 1/2 c
2 teaspoons baking soda 1 ts
1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 ts
3/4 teaspoon salt 3/8 ts salt
8 ounces (2 sticks) unsalted butter 4 oz
2 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/4 c
4 large eggs 2
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 3/4 ts
Yield: 9 cups of batter 4 1/2 c
