Hi, I am planning on making some 3d lion figures for my son's birthday cake out of fondant, and I was wondering how much in advance I can make the figures? Also, need to travel with the figures, so any ideas on how to transport them?

They can be made quite a while in advance. I've made figures as much as 3 weeks ahead of time.

I would place them in a box with some tissue paper or bubble wrap for travel.
