Hi everyone! I attend a farmer's market every weekend and am looking for something YUMMY. There is a festival this weekend, so I have been trying to think of delicious combinations while sticking with something traditional that everyone would like. I am bringing a pancake cupcake (I'll be there at 9:00 am so this is for the breakfast lovers). . Margarita Cupcake (it's a hispanic festival, so this is theme related) and then I was going to bring a staple. .chocolate cupcake. HOwever I can't decide what to pair it with. Plain jane vanilla frosting?? Chocolate frosting?? Raspberry??

My brain seem to have shut down at this point cause I just can't come up with any ideas. Anyone have any good ideas to pair with a chocolate cupcake?? Something that would make people what to BUY them and delicious at the same time??

Thanks in advance!!

I've been turned onto chocolate buttercream flavored with Bailey's Irish Creme! YUM, it has been a hit with everybody who has tried it so far.

Make chocolate icing with cinnamon in it. That would give it the Mexican flair. Mexican Hot Cocoa has cinnamon in it.

ooooo, both of those sound YUMMY! I was tossing around the idea of a white chocolate strawberry icing?? What do you think?

The margarita was my one theme cupcake, the other one I want to be more mainstream and appeal to everyone's taste (especially kids so they can beg mommy for one .. LOL. . although I have cake pops for that occasion too.)

How about peanut butter frosting won top of a chocolate cupcake with a mini pb cup baked into the center? Then you could do 1/2 of a pb cup on top. Would use generic vs. Reeses to get the right size cups for baking.

Another idea ... "Chocolate Raspberry". Do raspberry creme filling in the middle and on top. For the top of the cupcake: Drizzle some ganache or thinned chocolate frosting over the top of the raspberry frosting, pipe a dollop of some white buttercream "whipped cream" on top of that, and then top it all off with a fresh raspberry (kind of like a sundae type of look). Could be accomplished with strawberry filling and fresh strawberries too.

Peanut butter is popular with chocolate or cinnamon buttercream. Just add some cinnamon to regular buttercream. It is delicious. Or, caramel . Yum!

Peanut butter. I make ones like this ...chocolate cupcake piped with vanilla buttercream and then top it with a mini reeses peanut butter cup that you pipe vanilla bc on and then top both with mini round sprinkles....I have a photo in my gallery if you would like to see.
