hI, I have been googling a few ideas on tanker lorry cakes, but cant seem to get advice on how to do it, it seems simple enough, but I am just not sure what cake tins I should use. I know I need to make the base, then for the tanker and for the cabin? How do I manage to get that round look for the tanker?

Hi,
this type of lorry seems to be quite simple,
http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=lorry+cake&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=603&tbm=isch&tbnid=j3q1GNK5BSns8M:&imgrefurl=http://www.thecakestore.co.uk/acatalog/Lorry.html&docid=31QxvJaYgIz5_M&w=330&h=231&ei=6AFVTu2REcOHhQfVxpyXBg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=140&page=1&tbnh=129&tbnw=166&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&tx=98&ty=51

The back would probably be stacked rectangle cakes, cut to be thin enough, The front looks like it would be square cakes stacked and carved to be sloping down the front where the windscreen is, and there looks like there a little piece of cake connecting the front of the lorry to the back, the decorating looks fairly simple too, because they have the wheels stuck to the sides and the lorry isn't off the cake board.

Hope this helps, good luck! icon_smile.gif
