What are the different cupcake sizes? I have my standard Wilton pans, but are there slightly bigger ones, but not Jumbo?
Thanks
I don't have an answer, but am interested in knowing. I don't want giant cupcakes, just something a little bigger than standard.
There is no "standard".
The actual dimensions of the cupcake pan holes can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
It is the volume that is the thing:
1.5 tablespoons = too small - almost chocolate size
2 tablespoons = 1 ounce = 30ml = "Mini"
1/4 cup = 2 ounces = 60ml
1/3 cup = 3 ounces = 80 ml = "regular"
1/2 cup = 4 ounces = 115-120ml = "regular" "large"
..........5 ounces = 150ml = "extra large"
3/4 cup = 6 ounces = 175-185 ml = Texas
..........7 ounces = 200ml = Jumbo
1 cup = 8 ounces = 240ml = Jumbo
Choose a paper-lining manufacturer [eg Confeta] and go with what they recommend as sizing.. or work out what suits you ..
